We’re excited to announce Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge is now open! The horses are shod, the bees are buzzing, the pillows are plumped, the drinks are on ice and the team is back to doing what they do best: welcoming guests to our extraordinary wilderness playground on Vancouver Island’s wild west coast.
After a year in hibernation, Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge has opened to reveal a brand new look! Located at the heart of Vancouver Island’s UNESCO protected wild-west playground, the luxury outpost has been given a fresh dose of vitality following a Baillie Lodges-led reimagining of guest quarters just in time for the 2021 season. Newly decked out with contemporary furnishings, specially commissioned pieces from local designers and artisans and heavenly king beds dressed in fine linens, the tents offer the ultimate in sophisticated, glamping style.
At Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge there’s an adventure for everyone from hiking to the Ursus Valley or Penny Falls and canyoning the cool rivers to horse-riding mountain trails and joining thrilling marine adventures in a Zodiac for up-close encounters with our beautiful Black Bears, sea otters and whales.
A range of incredible helicopter adventures are personally tailored to suit any theme or desire, from remote hiking to romantic sunset drinks with a view. At the beginning or end of after a day spent in the magnificent outdoors or ‘nature’s spa’, the Healing Grounds Spa set on the banks of Clayoquot Sound offers revitalizing treatments to reset mind and body, rewarding guests with a feeling of wellness and bonhomie.
After all the fun, world-class dining awaits, with premium and sustainable local produce taking centre stage on the menu. With our newly refurbished guest tents there’s so much to look forward to at Clayoquot this season.
