The Lord Howe Island Green and Hawksbill Turtle Program Team at Taronga Institute leads marine turtle tracking and rescue programs, fitting endangered species with satellite trackers to discover their behavioral patterns and help plan for future resilience. On Lord Howe Island, Capella Lodge is proud to support Hayley the Hawksbill Turtle as she swims around the world’s southernmost coral reef.

The Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Women’s Council social enterprise provides support to First Nations Anangu women to establish sustainable businesses that in turn ensures the future of Anangu culture and traditions. As part of the partnership, Longitude 131° purchases the cure-all, irmangka-irmangka or salted emu bush balm for use in healing treatments at Spa Kinara and provides family wellbeing services to Indigenous families in the region.

The foundation raises funds for time-critical research, population monitoring, and on-the-ground conservation work for the endangered Australian Sea Lion, whose population on Kangaroo Island is the nation’s third largest. Southern Ocean Lodge is proud to support a project dedicated to providing man-made shelters designed to protect sea lion pups from the heat and from larger, rolling sea lions.

This not-for-profit community organization has operated for more than 35 years providing a wide range of essential disability, youth, seniors and family services and support programs in the Douglas Shire area surrounding Silky Oaks Lodge. The community hub staffed by volunteers helps those in need with health and crisis support, family services, mental health and financial assistance.

Australia’s favorite chef Maggie Beer has her home in the Barossa down the road from The Lousie. Maggie has made it her mission to link research around how the food we eat can impact brain health and general wellbeing with education for aged care providers. The partnership with The Louise focusses on recruiting Aged Care Chef Trainer Mentors who work with the kitchen teams in aged care residences to raise the standard of food and nutrition for residents.

Greening Taupō was established to improve the Taupō environment for the people and native wildlife; it’s an opportunity for local residents and visitors to participate in a community conservation initiative. Work in the region includes centers around dedicated planting days where volunteers clear weeds, plant hyper-local native plants and create ecological corridors to allow birds and wildlife to flourish.

Founded in 1995 by an unlikely coalition of forest loggers, local First Nations communities, biologists and forestry professionals, Redd Fish Restoration Society restores coastal ecosystems and rebuilds wild salmon populations across Vancouver Island. Through science, local knowledge and community action, the organisation repairs damaged waterways and protects vital habitats. Following recent restoration work at Tranquil Creek, Redd Fish continues to restore river systems surrounding Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge, safeguarding the future of wild salmon.

The Chilean nonprofit works across some 100,000 hectares of the Torres del Paine commune in Patagonia, dedicated to enabling the peaceful coexistence of cattle ranching and wildlife conservation. The foundation conducts field research, monitors threatened species including the puma, and investigates livestock protection solutions like guardian dogs. Led by a team of scientists, trackers and ecologists the organization is driven by intergenerational legacy.

The Lickantai Agricultural High School trains Atacameño students through an intercultural and environmentally sustainable approach, preparing them for local development projects. Tierra Atacama supports the school by providing hands-on learning opportunities through internships, educational visits, field experiences and initiatives that enhance the school environment, helping empower the next generation of San Pedro de Atacama’s community leaders.
